Hunter Theatre Arts is a thriving stage school based in Bedlington, Northumberland.
HTA is run by principal Barbara Hunter. Barbara holds teaching qualifications in all theatre subjects
with the N.C.D.T.A. and Classical Ballet with the I.D.T.A. and is also a qualified cheerleading coach.
Barbara started her professional career at the tender age of 5 appearing in her first professional production and went on to appear in many pantomimes, roadshows and musicals such as Joseph and Evita. Barbara has worked all over the world and has been lucky enough to work in some of the biggest shows in Europe and the Far East as well as working on some of the largest cruise ships in the world. Barbara has had the privilege of dancing infront of the Head's of State of China, Pakistan and Portugal. She decided to bring together her love of teaching and vast performing experience to open HTA in 2006.
Since its opening the school has gone from strength to strength. HTA prides its self on its friendly, caring atmosphere and delivery of sound, safe, technical training. Training provided by professional qualified dance teachers.

Examinations are taken throughout the year, we have 100% pass rate all with excellent results.
Shows children perform in our annual show which is fully costumed by HTA. There is no expense to parents apart from shoes and tights!
